What a travel document is
A Chinese travel document (旅行证) is an entry-and-exit document issued to Chinese nationals abroad, and to children of Chinese citizens who were born in the United States. The usual situation: the parents hold Chinese passports, the child was born here, and the family wants to travel to China. It is not a visa — it is a different document, with different paperwork.

How it works
Tell us three things: which document you need, the applicant's age, and when you plan to travel. We check the current requirement for your case, send back a document checklist, prepare and submit the paperwork, and post the finished document back to you.
Consular requirements change, and they differ by document type. Where the applicant has to appear in person, we tell you before you send anything — not after your passport is already in the post. All decisions rest with the Chinese embassy and consulates.
